Cost for 3 yr. Etec scheduled maintenance?

Hi guys, I've got a 2007 Etec 200HO. I'm just wondering if anyone has had the 3 yr/ 300 hr. scheduled maintenance done on your Etec's and how much I should expect to pay? I have no idea and don't want to get taken advantage of. I was quoted about $400.00 if they changed the water pump/ impeller. It seems high to me, are they in the ballpark with this quote? Thanks in advance.

I already posted this topic in the general forum, but thought I might get more/ some responses in the Evinrude forum.

How much per hour does the dealer charge?

Are all the thermostats and anodes replaced automatically?

Does the boat get a water test?

Ask your dealer for a breakdown listing the parts and the labor.

Here is a link to an E-TEC dealer who makes up and sells complete 300hr service kits:

So I guess my estimate was in the ballpark. My lower unit was replaced last april (freeze damage) so I don't think I need the water pump kit or the gear lube with pump? That should save me a few bucks, I hope. I bought the boat "as new" in Feb of 2008, it was a demo boat. I've only owned for two seasons.
I'm hoping I have one more season before I need the 300 hr service. I am taking to a dealer next week and I want a ballpark figure before he puts it on the computer, just in case it is close to 300 hrs. Thanks Seahorse.

Why not have the dealer just do a preseason checkover to ease your mind?

Check gear oil, compression, plug condition, lube fittings, change filters, check idle temperatures, and print out an engine report about 1 to 1.5 hours

Thanks again Seahorse, that's what I'll do. We are driving from Mass to Lake Murray SC for our winter vaca tomorrow. I'll be bringing my boat to Martins Marine in Prosperity, which is where I bought my boat. This vaca is costing a few bucks, especially for the gas driving down there and back with the boat and I don't want any unnecessary additional expenses. Hopefully I can wait 'till next year to do the scheduled maintenance.
