Detonation Control Module removal steps help

    Don, Joe or anyone else.
What are the steps do I need perform to remove my Detonation Control Module? These are what I’ve found using the search but not my motor.
My motor, 0D136669 Mariner 200 EFI
These are the steps/information that I’ve found so far.

    1. Remove module, white/black wires to switch boxes, add jumper in their place.
    2. Ground grey wire to ECU.
    3. Find TDC on #1 and set timing pointer @ 0 on .462” BTDC with a dial indicator.
    4. Set idle timing @ 4-5 ATDC and WOT @ 22-23 BTDC while cranking engine with plugs out and wires grounded.

Anything else I’m missing or needed?

Check step #3- you need to set the pointer for .462 at .462" before TDC. NOT to "zero".
