Didn’t Canada just legalize weed? Johnny is going to like that.

How much does tbe CFL pay? Maybe he will start signing 20s instead of just 100s.

I think he has a base of something like 100k and possible to make upwards of 200k depending on how much he plays etc.

They might wanna lower that to 50k based on that mess.

I don't follow sports much but I sure hate to see someone screw up so badly when they look like they had the talent to do well. I hope he gets and or keeps it together to be successful. Same goes for all the 'kids' that get a fat head and screw up. I believe in second chances, but at some point the risk for teams becomes too much when the players keep blowing it.

I think this is it for him. If he can somehow stand out and really shine he "MIGHT" have a shot of getting back in the NFL. I think even then the shot is slim. But if he craps out like he did last night hes done. Hey even if he just stayed in the CFL hes making more than most of us.

Ultimately I don't think hes worried about the $$.

Maybe he should try minor league baseball since he doesn’t seem to be a QB

Didn't watch and not a huge CFL fan, but it does show that it is a pretty darn good league...

Canadian football is different from the NFL, field size, number of players, movement before ball snap. 3 downs not 4 etc. His first game in 950 days, having to learn new plays, new system in less than 10 days. Yeah he looked bad: 4 interceptions in the first half, but Montreal's offensive line was not very good to put it another way, they could have been beaten by a high school team. The receivers dropped too many balls, and the front 4 had more holes than a box of timbits. The defense couldn't stop a 2 year old. It wasn't all johnny Manziel's fault. It really was a team effort to lose that badly.

Sad story. With his skills coming out of college, he should have been at least made a comfortable living as a back-up QB somewhere. Maybe he was never franchise quality but man, could he make things happen.

Bench warmers aren't supposed to be in the news. Ask a certain former 49's starter about that. If your good enough to start they'll deal with a lot of shit. Otherwise you can walk.
