Yep, and they still do, the <20' Tritons are still made in the Ranger plant, the bigger Tritions are now being built at the Legend plant. Why there is so much demand for Triton is beyond me, I think they are #3 or #4 in bass boat sales. I rode in one marshalling and then a Nitro the next day and I preferred the Nitro by alot to the Triton the Nitros ride was even better. Mind you I've never much cared for Nitro.

Johnny did not buy Legend. Johnny bought that state of the art facility that happened to be building Legend boats.
That....is a fact.
What becomes of the boat is still anybody's guess at this time.

Maybe the 55,800 base price for a 20 footer with a 250?...Triton has been around since 1996 and has been a consistent seller. 22 years with a loyal customer base will sell a lot of boats. I fished quite a bit out of the early Tritons, nice boats, but I wasnt impressed how they held up long term. A five year old boat that had regular use always looked a little beat up.
So if you purchased a business you wouldn't want it advertised and promoted? You'd spend your money then not try to recover, by selling the product you purchased? You ever heard of businesses being purchased for the assets ie. there manufacturing facilities for instance.
I don’t think anyone is disputing that JM is a smart business man. The thread is about whether or not Legend will be around much longer. I personally say no...and that sucks because it’s a great boat! Do I have any proof...no. I do have enough business sense to read between the lines and make an educated guess though.
