Lower unit fluid grey in color

When I changed my lower unit fluid for the winter it came out looking like grey paint. It also had metal flakes on the magnets. This can't be good. What can I expect the problen to be?

Sounds like water intrusion. Need to get her resealed. Fine metal shavings is normal, chunks aren't.

If you have warranty it should be covered get it in before the warranties expire on both motors.
