Converting from Oil Bath to Vortex Hubs problem

    Guys,
I need ideas or if anyone has run into a similar problem I'm having removing the spindle once the hub and bearings are off. Is there a special puller I can buy that will pull it out so I don't have to remove the axel? I rented a 5 ton claw type puller from Auto Zone and broke it on the second spindle. I added a picture to help illustrate my problem. Thanks!

Loosen the castle nut on the back almost all the way off then knock the living crap out of it with a big hammer side to side till it falls loose

This will work. Warning when it lets lose it’s a projectile. Heat will help also.

I did it recently. Take nut off back and hit the spindle with heavy hammer left and right, and up and down. It will fall right out.

Is that like up, down, up, down, left, right, left, right, select, start kinda easy?

be careful and not oval the tapered hole or the new spindle will never fit and tighten up, in reality the taper is what holds the spindle in place and the nut is mostly for safety, it is the same principle as a Morse taper in a lathe spindle, hit is on the nut end as straight as possible, I used another nut and did not damage the spindle or slotted nut.
