    evinrude 225 sparkplug

98 225 vindicator motor and I am going to change the plugs. I read somewhere that you need to mark the position of the plug when taking them out of certain evinrude motors.

Anything special I need to do to change these plugs? I know it is a dumb question, but I'm extremely green to evinrude motors.

    Re: evinrude 225 sparkplug (JF1)

Use only Champion QL78YC plugs gapped to .030" torque to 18ft. lbs

Your motor does not require any special sparkplug installation tecniques, only the FICHT, DI, and E-TECs do.
