It'll all depend on the river level at the time. The guys that are consistent on these oxbows and chutes can look at the flows here ( http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/...t.txt ) and pretty much have an idea of where the fish are going to be and what they'll be doing.
My notebook is nowhere near extensive enough yet, but I'm learning.![]()

+1 on what hat-ntha-creek said!!, it all depends on the river and what its doing at the time, historicly and looking at the rise that is happning right now, it will probally be up. whitt is or was full of small fish late last summer and fall, with good numbers being caught, with an ocassional bigger fish. Ferg seem to have(in my opinion) more quality fish, but not the numbers.
there is an issue with boat ramps on whittinton, now that nibblet landing was bought by a hunting club, that leaves only one "public" ramp, and it is closed during deer season, and in real high water. best check closer to your trip. soooo,, check back closer to your trip, will try to lead you in the right direction, specially if you happen to bring the lady that star d in your avatar pic!!!!, heck might guide/![]()
