Okay, big thanks go out to ChampionMan, Gearcaseman
, and I'm sure a few others
. I finally got everything back together and running. Had it down at the launch yesterday, and she ran like a beauty
.
However, I noticed some fuel dripping, and found that the housing on the VRO pump is cracked. Here are a couple of pictures of what I found (not that it really matters):
I realize that the VRO2 pumps are not really considered "rebuildable," but the diaphragms and o-rings, and everything else look great. So my question is, is there any way to get my hands on a new housing?
I know some guys have removed the VRO2 pumps from their motors in favor of premix. Does anyone have one they'd be willing to offload cheap? I've pretty much maxed out the rebuild budget, and would love not to have to spend the money on a whole new VRO2 assembly, if I don't have to.
As always, I appreciate the knowledge and insight which is undoubtedly soon to be bestowed upon me.![]()
