Lets start at the battery, fully charged, this has been checked with a volt meter or load tester?
Battery connections tight and clean?
There is a fuse on the left side (from behind) it is in a red holder next to the cylinder head, see if its blown.
Thank you for the advice, the fuse was blown. I replaced but am still confused as to what caused this. Any ideas?
Mine did that one time, ended up being that rain shoted the trim switch out on the bow panel, causing it to trim up on it's on going down lake, thus kept on trimming before i could get the battery post off, blowing the fuse....
Recheck you ring connectors on the Ignition switch, make sure none are touching, thighten them all and center the rings. Hit them all with a blob of liquid electrial tape. CM
Did you disconnect the battery before you replaced the ignition switch?
