Considering purchasing a 2000 stratos 22ss extreme, equipped with a 250FPLSTR Evinrude, the ad says its a DI is this a FICHT motor or ?

Any know concerns?
watch fors in this motor?

Have not heard it or driven it yet, marina say all checked and everything spot on, 86 hours...

according to research its a 2003 motor, just curious as to the dependability?

The 03 is a BRP DI engine, If it's anywhere as good as my 03 225 DI It's a good engine. Tons of low end grunt and a great midrange......

yep love my 2003 225 DI also strong motor and really no problems at all I run good oil and change the plugs about every six months and she runs like a new one
