Well I sucked hind tit at the BFL this past weekend. Never put a consistent pattern together in practice and tournament day was no better. Two small keepers was all I could muster up. Thank God Pickwck is next!

I never drink water because of the disgusting things that fish do in it.
well i had found them. was on a good pattern. just never could get one of the bigguns to bite. i saw 3 over 5 caught. i ended up with 9.5 pounds which was good for 40ththe guy that won it caught his 2 biggest fish in my area(a 7 and a 5).
i did catch a 6 12 on thursday. man was she pretty.
i hope i can make it to bay springs.....i mean pickwick. job pay cut backs are about to eliminate most of my fishing.
I caught a 6.98 Thursday as well. She was poor and didn't appear to have eggs. If she was spawned out her tail wasn't bloody. You fish up river?
I think the economy is going to play a huge factor in everyone's fishing this year. We're still working full time but inventories are high and we look for a few days off if things don't pick up. Good luck with your job.
question,, i heard the big fish in that wal-mart/ team trails tourney sunday was worth 2800. thats pretty good pay day!

I never got on any big fish just 10 to 12 # for 3 days up the river .until tourney day. My co-angler was 19-20 & cashed a check . I caught 2 at 2:55

I was lucky enough to draw a local gentleman at Barnett. He really knew the lake well. He put me around fish most of the day, although I lost 4 fish halfway back to the boat 3lb+. I still managed a nice 11lb3oz limit good enough for 6th place that paid for my trip and Pickwick entry fee. Like mfd219 said though I'll be glad to fish some water over knee deep
