    South TX

Any interest in getting some dates together for the southern part of the State? I saw a mention of the Pearl Hwy90 ramp. Not familiar with it but I would fish it. We can add Back Bay and Pascagoula. I don't know any lakes down this way that are good lets get some suggestions going.

    Way to step up Dee..

I never drink water because of the disgusting things that fish do in it.

I"ve been out of the loop in South Mississippi for about 2 years and just moved back. 2 years ago the Pearl was where we would get the bigger stringers especially if you were willing to make the run to Delacroix, LA. Don't know if that's the case Post Katrina. The Pascagoula takes a special fisherman to catch fish on it, and I think it's still the same today. Back Bay offers a lot of water to search for fish, but you need to know where you are going or you'll wind up high and dry....yet it's not a bad place to fish. The Jordan river is another, but I think it's similar to the Pascagoula in that you need to be a special type of fisherman to have success.

All of this may have changed in the past 2 years, especially after Katrina.

    Re: South TX (marshall256)

Last year i know the Fisher of Men had to move their Jourdan River TX because the public launches had closed. We use to always launch by the rock bar when we went to Jourdan but i dont know if its open again. As for Delacroix these storms this summer was worse than Katrina was. The marsh looks like a bomb went off and most of the marsh grass hasnt grew back yet. We need a HIGH MS River this winter and the diversions to stay WIDE OPEN to flush it out. Nothing to do but wait it out

I might drive over there to fish Gulf Port Lake! Me and ole Gabe do pretty well together over there! Tell Randle you'll fish highway 90 as long as him and the Watkins boys are confined to the Port!

Sounds good brother. I hope we can get some places ironed out then put some dates to it.
I for one will be fishing blind at the HWY 90 location but it's all in fun.

Doug you dont have to worry bout me here lately. We fished an open TX Firday with some of the guys for Great Southern and let me tell you i got my tail kicked!!! That was probably the worst TX i ever fished. I will launch the boat EVERYDAY this week until i have figured something out. The Pearl has everything pure mud. Gabe said he had to recover before he goes back to Gulfport Lake
