The Brookhaven Bass Club has ended its year for 2008 and will be starting up in Feb 09. We are wanting and accepting new members, we fish 12 tournaments a year from Feb. through Nov. and we are also a member of BASS Fedration Nation and fish the state tournament each year. Membership is $25 per year and tourney fees are $20 if you pay for atleast 6 tourneys in advance or $30 if you pay per toureny. Fedration dues are $40 per year. We fish the second sat. of every month from feb. to nov. and we also fish the fourth sat. in march and sept. You drop your two lowest tourneys and a few people mentioned changing that to dropping your 4 lowest so we will talk about that at our meeting/banquet in Jan. We vote on the lake one month in advance at our monthly meeting which is the thursday night before each tourney.

We meet at the downtown Trustmark Bank on the corner of Whitworth Ave. and Cherokee St. at 7:00pm every thursday before the Tournament which is on the second Sat. of each month. Our Jan. meeting/banquet will be at Broma's Deli on Brookway Blvd. right next to the Cracker Barrel.

We have no set sch. we meet each month an vote on the following month's tourn. And as far as paying you can pay for all 12 or 6 at one time (20$ a tourny) or when you pick an choose it's 30$ a tourny. We have guys that pay both ways its just whatever is best for you. We are also a Federation Nation club an you can get in on that also if you choose thats an extra 40$ Club dues are 25$ An anything else Myself (Club V.P.) or Chip (Club Pres.) will be glad to help We would be glad to have ya an hope to see ya on the water.

Like Jeff said we have no set schedule we meet each month on the Thursday before the Tourney and choose the lake for the next month. The Tourney Director chooses 3 people for the Tourney Committee and they choose a lake each and the members that have paid get to vote on the lakes. The committee members also help with the weigh-in and whatever else needs doing at that tourney. As far as the Federation goes you do not have to join it to fish with the club it is up to each member whether they want to join the Federation or not! We did this because we had some members that did not want to stay in the club if it was were they had to join the Federation to be in the club, we are just trying to do whatever is needed to keep the club growing!!

We are having our Jan. meeting/banquet next thursday (1/08) at Bromas Deli on Brookway Blvd. and anyone that is interested is more than welcome to join us

Anytime, you have my number. I will be fishing Okhissa this Friday. A friend and I are going to make a trip to see if we can stick a few. The Res is muddier than the MS river right now. I do not think you could find a clear water section anywhere. Good luck on growing your membership for 2009.
