I bought a 1990 nitro earlier this year. All year it has sat at a friend who is a mechanic at a marine repair shop.I just got it back.
He replaced the primer solenoid on the engine. He said it floods very easily and I should replace the plugs which he said were the wrong ones.
I primed the engine to start it and smelled gas, I pulled the cover and noticed the top carb had fuel dripping from it. I watched and squeezed the primer ball and same thing.
I understand the fuel has to go somewhere but would it do it to all carbs if that were the case?
Here's the model number, serial number and the plug brand and number currently in it:
mod:te150slesb
ser:08291366
Plugs: autolite 4092.
I'm assuming I should go back the the champions evinrude recommends?
