    RPM'S

I found a prop that my basscat seems to like but I'm only spinnig 5600rpms. If I keep this prop will it hurt my motor to run there instead of the 6000rpms that is recomended?

I think a 200 le is rated at 6400 rpm.

That means I could drop to a 24p and still be ok.

You turn that 92 model 200 6400 many times and you'll be shovling up parts....:) about 5800 is what it needs to be proped at....

    It's a 200 LE, not a run of the mill 200.

omc recommended 6200 @ WOT, they bump the limiter @ 6400. That came from the dealer.

If you can't run with the big dogs, just stay on the porch.

    Re: RPM'S (ditchdiggerjcfII)

yea, im sure im not, but cannot afford a new prop . I tried to find information on the LE motors, and most folks said said they were limited at somewhere close to 6000. im pretty happy at 63.3 gps with it. thats fast enough for me today. it has a 4 blade prop so its very easy to drive.

    sorry to hijack this thread.

    Re: RPM'S (THE WITCHDOCTOR)

read somewhere that they are on the higher end of the 10% rule. thats the best I could find. that they were tuned by the performance gear heads at johnson performance or something....either way, no one else on my lake has one. easy to spot, candy red stratos with a big white box on the back! LOL

I tried to match the registration numbers to the "limited Edition" script. got close, but hey, it looks awesome.
