200 ETEC Opinions

Any opionions on the 200 Big Block Etec, been running a 200 Opti.

Thoughts and opionions?

Been running a 200H.O for three years and love it. Best run 79.3mph but running 75mph everyday full tourny load. Fuel consumtion has been good, uses a bit of oil but i push it hard all the time so i can only expect that, if i back off the revs a little oil consumption is low as well.

WOW, how are you set up to get 79mph? I am running a 200ho on a stratos but I have not seen those numbers. What kind of jackplate and what prop are you turning? Would love to see mine hit 79 to 80. Thanks Roger

200HO is the King of the 200's IMO, VERY closley followed by the 200 VMAX HPDI. Unless HT has played with the Yamaha...then ALL bets are off

I know it's not apples to apples but nothing would run with my 200HO DI in the same class of motor on my p4. Nothing.

Have a 200ho hanging on the back of a BassCat PII and wouldn't have it any other way love it.

I ran a 27 renegade bass to 6000rpm 77.8mph earlier today. I have run a loaner 28 raker2 to 6000rpm 79.3mph. I am running a 5.5'' cmc jackplate with centreline of propshaft 2 .25 below the pad.

Good numbers, I ran mine yesterday with the old style 28" raker and only turned 5400 rpm's but the speed was 77.5. I am also running about 2.25 inches below pad. I believe I could still come up a tad more, water pressure is great. I think I could have gotten little more out of it had I had the room. Well satisfied with the 200ho on my 294xl.

I have a 10" Atlas hydraulic coming. I hope to get it installed in the next couple of weeks.

By the way bassfanatic that is one good looking rig.
