St. Clair River Question

I am taking a trip to St Clair River June 1-5. I think near Marine City, what kind of fishing can expect at that time? Just Curious

Fishing will be better and easier in the main lake at that time than in the river......

Depending on the year but Smallmouth fishing really doesn't take off in the river until things heat up in the summer..... There are guys that can always catch fish in the river but it will be tough in the spring...
