Nope, I won't be around the Houghton Lake area. But if you want to, feel free to drive another
1 1/2 hours North to the Charlevoix/ Boyne City area. Believe it or not, we have some really good Bass fishing water around my place!

Come on up...............I'm sure by the time I get out of there the place will never be the same again.
The smallies should be on the beds...it should not be hard to find them. The hard part will be getting to your spot before everybody else!!! Hope you get an early draw and find as many bedding locations as you can!!!
I hope you dont mind a few PWC's running around, that lake is going to be flooded with traffic that weekend, it can get out of hand at times so be careful.

The actual T isn't until Wed, Thur, and Fri...................weekdays shouldn't be as bad as week ends.................I hope

Your still going to run into a bit of traffic, Houghton is a great place to take vacation and I know quite a few people who take that week off and stay up there, so they get almost a week and a half off only having to take 4 days vacation. I hope its not bad, just for your sake, but it is definitely a "getaway" place in MI.
I'm going too. see ya there! I live near Traverse City. Its going to be hard to find a pattern that will hold up to 290 boat plus vacationers. Is it going to be fishing the main lake, cannals, docks, bedding smallies, ect. I just wish it was a 3day tournament rather the one day for three different days. Got to go! later Brian W

154 in our division...........................got lucky too, we drew boat #5!!!!
I'm fishing both. 9th the first day, 156th the second day. Water is pretty dirty from all the wind. That lake is shallow . Someone could catch a fish from just about anywhere on that lake. Thats pretty cool! later Brian
I'll be there, just fishing thursday, and hopefully friday.
I think we should start a pool on guessing the number of zero on thursday out
of 290 boats.
