Would anyone be interested in a new ABA division on mississippi river pools 12,13,14 or 13,14,15? A friend is thinking about starting one, but wants to see what kind of interest he is going to get first.

Between Angler's Choice, Bass World, Club Tournaments and a couple of large opens there is a lot of activity in that area. The numbers seemed to be down a little for all tournaments last year also. I'd think it would be pretty hard for a new group to get much going.

Thats what I was thinking also. Rumor has it that bass world might not be around next year if things don't pick up. So far seems like he's got 10-12 people interested, how many will actually fish I don't know.
Would it be a bassmaster weekend series? I've heard a lot of complaints from guys about bass world sports. I fish Angler's Choice on Pool 13 and love it. Great tournament directors and well run.

No it would be the ABA draw style tournament. American Fishing Tour I think its called. Same basic company, different tournaments. AOY for each division fishes for a boat at the end of the year with no entry fee and if you qualify for the championship you can go fish for another boat. So you have a chance to win 2 boats each year.

now I wouldn't say he wins them ALL, just 95% of them.Definately a team effort also. Paul is out on the water on ton.
its not easy, especially out there. we put our time in that's for sure. practice out of 2 boats for every tournament. I'd be interested in the ABA if the dates don't conflict with too many other tournaments I intend on fishing
Do you mean the tourneys at Mississippi river pools or all of their circuits might be in jeopardy if things dont pick up for bass world next year?

I just mean the pool 13 division.
Steve, the dates are trying to be set up to avoid most other tournament schedules next year, but thats pretty hard to do with as many tournaments as there are. Right now we are mainly focusing on AC, Gateway, charity tournaments and a few other ABA's, but if it happens to land on a bassworld date so be it. To hard to avoid them all and with the way bassworld was looking we figured that was the best option.
here is the tentative ABA schedule.
April 28 Big Slough Pool 13
May 27 Rapids City Pool 14
June 23 Big Slough Pool 13
July 29 Rapids City Pool 14
... Aug 19 Big Slough Pool 13
Sept 8 & 9 2 day
Sept 8 Big Slough Pool 13
Sept 9 Rapids City Pool 14
