Lost a good man today

I got a call from my sister saying my Grandpa has passed away. My Grandma was by his side the whole way and was able to be with him when he passed. I was the first one to arrive at the nursing home, and saw something in my Grandma's eyes I haven't seen in a long time which was relief. He was in the nursing home/hospital for about a year, when through physical therapy, to not being able to get out of bed anymore. Today I am not morning his death but relieved that I know he doesn't have to suffer another day.

He was a great man and will be missed
