Are you talking about the thread that is gone? The last I read was this morning that said if they didn't have 10 boats it would be canceled. There were 12 boats at that time. It would have been nice for an e-mail or I.M., but lets just drop the post all together and not tell anyone .

Were you following the thread Jon (as in email notification)? I stopped taking names away from the list a few days ago. People were dropping left and right via IM to me and IM to Daley. Daley posted that he was canceling the tourney due to the numbers and I posted that I was going to delete the thread shortly (and did so several hours later).

yup we only had 7 confirmed boats so they dropped it..Then there were legal issuses with the free passes so we can't even go fish springfield I'm headed down to Shelbyville in a few minutes and I'll fish there this weekend..

No I didn't have the e-mail notification turn on Steve. I didn't realize the thread would just disappear or I would have done that. All I know is I went to work yesterday morning and we were fishing, I get home last night and it was gone. I guess next time I will have to read whos boats are slow and how Hooters has seating for two.

Tournament directors now have to have a liability form for all fishing to sign. Lots of questions coming after the recent accident on the lake. Since we could only get 7 boats to confirm, thought it was best to move rally to another date. I was still going to give the free passes I had to anyone that still wanted to fish, but with my name being the Tournament Director and with the recent legal issues I can't give those out without some sort of release form signed to cover my butt. Sorry for the last minute decision, hope you can understand.

SIUE is having a benefit tournament Sunday, $80, for a club fundraiser. I talked to them yesterday and they are all set for it. A couple of them were fishing the rally. So you could still hit the lake for free Sunday.

No interruption to any of the other tournaments on Springfield...Like the Megabux coming up? Just have to sign a waiver?
