im heading there next thursday through saturday. I was there back in november, and it was a good time. Tips I could give you, FOLLOW THE SHAD!!!!! Where the big schools of shad are is where you will find the bass. You'll see and hear about every minute a school get busted, CAST THERE. Don't be afraid to throw just about anything that will catch a bass....rattletraps, crankbaits, jerkbaits, jigs, top water.......walking Zoom Pearl White Super Flukes weightless across points rigged on a Pointer hook because they are a little heavier being that it is weightless, and be ready for them to smash it!!!!!! Dang it, you got me so excited that I just told you my secret bait that caught me a 6.5lber in November....dang it, now I told you what I used, and what it caught....I think I just told you too much, so try that and maybe a smallie beaver.![]()
Look what happens when I get excited about Newton, YOUR WELCOME!!!!! Let me know how you do, good luck!![]()

Thanks a bunch! I'm excited as well lol I'm tired of ice fishing... also I don't have a depth finder right now... any dangers I should watch for? I will only be running the trolling motor due to the hp restriction but don't wanna run in to trouble!
Nope, not that i can remember....see if you can find a hotmaps paper copy. The lodge right by newton might have a lake map you can buy too.

I have a little 3.5hp outboard you can borrow and throw on the back of your boat if you are worried about running your TM down...

If you guys do go this weekend, and someone does throw a Zoom Pearl White Super Fluke, you gotta work it across those points, main lake points, and secondary points. If you do try it, make sure you show me the picture you took of the hog you caught working that fluke!!
Here's one of the better ones I caught out there in November
