    Lake Springfield

Our club had a small tx. there today, it was a pretty good day for the club. Most members managed to bring fish to the scales with it taking 13 pounds and something to win.

Good day fishing if you had your raingear with you. Rain and then more rain and rain some more.

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply.
Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.

    Re: Lake Springfield (Rudeman)

Champaign County Bassmasters fished Lake Springfield on 5-16-10. There were 22 competitors. Tournament 5;30 to 1:30. Limit 5 fish 14" minimum Total 85.34 lbs. for 38 fish. 1st Tim Rivest 5 fish 13.55 and Big Bass 4.29 lbs., 2nd Paul Ruedi 5 fish 12.54 lbs., 3rd Nate Stringer 4 fish 8.63 lbs. 6 were Skunked. Two of the boats had three fisherman because of a boat shortage and the Ruedi boat was one of those boats and they took 2nd and 3rd place, the third fisherman ha 3 fish 4.78lbs. and when you add it up they had 25.95 lbs in that boat. Now the tournament director had to show up at the end to do the weigh - in because the oil pump gear stripped the nylon gear inside the power head which sucks to the tune of $1050.00 plus water impeller $125.00 and waiting 3 to 4 weeks to get my baby back. Oh well I can't say much this is the first time since '98 that it has been touched, Mercury 150 EFI. I hope I'm not getting taken to the cleaners on the motor.
