Baldwin Lake

How come no one is fishing that lake this year? I have been over there 5 times in the last 6 weeks and there is usually not a lot of boats. Yesterday, there were only 5 boats and they left fairly early. The reason I ask is because Coffeen Lake is packed all the time (especially with tournaments) but there are a lot of rec fisherman at Coffeen too. Coffeen was closed this weekend and still no one was at Baldwin. We like the lake a lot. Out of our 5 trips, we have caught only one bass smaller than 16 3/4". We usually end the day with a nice sack.

it was deer season this weekend. Maybe they went hunting.

I figured that for yesterday, and it was pretty freakin cold. But there hasn't been very many boats there for 3 weekends now. It may be normal for over there, I don't know. I'm new to the lake.

I was there a couple weeks ago, they had a good crowd.

What is a good crowd considered to be at Baldwin? Does the parking lot ever fill up? Thanks for your help.

I would say it was 50-60% full. Maybe that's not a good crowd, but that's the most boats I've ever seen on there. Granted, I don't fish it a ton, but I get out there every so often.

Thanks. That gives me some perspective. The most I have seen there has been about 10 trailers. I'm sure it will pick up.
