I took my nephew out fishing with me(my son over slept and didn't want to get out of bed), pulled within 30 yds of my first stop and taught him how to cast and work the lure and after 6 practice casts he was ready. I then pulled up to my spot and on the 2nd cast BAM he got this 20 1/2 inch girl
later on in the year I took my buddy out also a first time basser, I would like to say it was his first but he did catch lots of dinks but this is his first legal bass 14 3/4

Well I'm new to the forum (BWELL let me know about this site). Anyhow the name is Jason and this is my big bass 7lb 12 oz... If I can't find the old photos I guess I can take a pic of the mount as it's the only fish I've had mounted. This actually wasn't caught in IL, but it was close by in the green sullivan state forest area of Indiana. Also included is a muskie I landed at the spillway of shelbyville, didn't get a weight but it was just over 45 inches.

First Pic is the first fish I caught out of my boat last spring. 22 inches
Second one is from the Illinois River. Didnt have anything to measure or weigh her. Crappy cell phone picture.
Third is from a cooling(?) pond in central illinois. On the scale at the place it went 10lb 5oz. snapped a pic gave her a kiss and let her go.

FlipIt2119- that Illinois river spot looks famillar! Alot of good fish come from that spot!

I can safely say... I have pulled a fish, or two from that river spot as well lol!
This is the biggest bass I've caught to date. Came from a small pond by my work.
This one was over 7lbs. Caught last spring.
This is another decent one out of same pond.
This is wife's first ever smallie. Not big, but huge for her as she is not really into fishing.
Surely someone is fishing and can post some pics. I can use a screen shot of my Wii fishing games if need be
