    Metro ATL Lakes

Looking to find some lakes around Marietta (gas or non gas) that I can fish after work on the weekdays. Fished Allatoona yesterday and not sure if I will be back!! Stopped at Lake Acworth and the boat launch was closed.

Allatoona is good fall and winter lake. In the summer its pounded with jet skis and ski boats. In the summer we fish it at night not on the weekends. When it gets cooler Id be glad to take you out one day this fall or winter and help you get going up there. Most people get addicted to it once they go and get used to it. In the summers they have a monday night 4 hour pot tournament that will draw 100 boats or better.

If you need a guide on Allatoona contact Triton Mike...you can find him on the humminbird fourm... If you are just looking for "spots" to fish after work try the river... I am trout fishing most weekends at Jones Bridge, Island Ford. When it cools just a little more then go back to the big lakes.

    Re: Metro ATL Lakes (transdep1)

I will google those two places. Is it catch and release there? I never keep bass but usually kept fresh northern pike/walleye when I lived in Wisconsin. Are we able to keep a trout or two?
