OK - in an effort to get more fishing reports for the GA lakes I am going to start a contest for January and February combined. At the end of the 2 months I will look and see which of the GA waters had the most USEFUL fishing reports. From that board thread I will draw a report poster and send them a 25 pack of Gamagatsu hooks. Now lets get some useful fishing reports up!!

Sat on Russell ice formed on the guides and line...with the sun out...til noon!
Caught about 20..lost a couple good ones on spoons...had 7+ took 11 to win.
wt's down to 50. Fish were 35-50'

OK guys - these need to be in the fishing reports page....
OR they don't count.. Seeing I am not a mod for this board I can't move them over there for you..Only a lowly mod for GA Fishing Reports..
1/6 Russell...put in at 9:30 fished to 3:30 wt's 48..not much activity but caught a few limits 40-50' best 5 about 9 lbs..lost 1 toadSpoons and drop shot worked but not in the same places...bait is now at 40'.
Ice was not a problem today..bet it was before 9:30 though...did not see 1 other boat fishin

For what its worth, Walmart sucks when it comes to buyin premium fishin junk. At one time, they used to have some descent stuff, now its pretty much the same ole run of the mill junk. I just got lucky with the hook deal along with a shimano rod which seems to have left the traditional walmart inventory
well atleast you know where NOT to go to buy fishin junk.....
