Don't waste your time. Hard to catch anything over 10lbs anymore. Best you will do is 5 and 6lbers.... If I were you I would throw ****** and ******. Big Metz and Pineview are my 2 favorites right now....

Be careful about where to fish- and make sure you have your Fort Stewart fishing license. I fish there all the time- and have been to every pond. 1 and 26 haven't been open for a while. 34 is worthless. No more water in there, and the fish are SMALL. Best bet is pond 21, no bad, a FEW decent fish....other than that Dogwood is very good also. These are the best for boats, and 26 is great when OPEN. Make sure you double check this on the area status sheet. The automated system will allow you to check in even though it is a closed pond. The F and W guys won't hear any excuses and WILL give you a ticket!

All over! Uncle Sam keep me busy these days- that and a broken trailer! Things are never good when you get to the ramp, put her in reverse, and the brakes lock up! 45 days later and countless hours troubleshooting finally I fixed it.....You fishing the Top 8 next month?

Re: fort stewart, ga (Bassin Billy)

Well, I suck at fishing, and only fished a few times so far. Therefore, the other guys are ahead of me as boater- so I have to fish as a non-boater. I need one more good tourney to make the Top 6, so I am going to try. If you need help, let me know....I can try to do what I can for you. I know how stressful setting things up can be.

    Thanks Adam...

Dink - hope you guys didn't make the trip to Stewart today. Went by pass and permit and they informed me that it was an error and Metz wasn't open.
If I had your # I would have called to save you a trip...
