Blake Mitchell was suspended for being arrested after a bar room fight over the weekend. It really is a shame for him. he will now lose his college education over whatever happened in a bar...
Billy not being a usc or a tiger fan or any football for that fact. He brought it on himself, as the bouncer stated to him and had denied him access to the bar since he had a underage girl with him. The bouncer stated he ( mitchell) needed to stop doing that, that is when Mitchell sucker punched him as he turned away. sounds like he got his " Feelings Hurt" and since he is the " star" he thinks he is able to get away with anything. This is a prevelent position of athletes in america and the world in general, sorry and a sad thing. He goes to a hearing today, and the charges will probably be dropped anyway as he is " the Star" he was not sched to play on saturday so his suspention is just a joke also since they are playing wofford I think.
I know that there are USC fans on here but like Ike in fishing being is jerk is your own danged fault and you need to be admonished for it especially when in the public eye.

There are 2 sides to every story. When I was playing ball, I can assure that for every person there was trying to give you a break, there was a person trying to get you in trouble. There are a lot of jealous people in the world, especially bouncers which are usually failed jocks with a huge chip on their shoulder. The sad thing is that as an athlete you almost have to become a hermit to stay out of trouble.

I must disagree on the bouncers are failed athletes comment. I never failed at anything I have ever wanted to do. I played sports and enjoyed it tremendously. A few broken bones (ankles, collarbones, blown out knees) kept me from doing better. I don't call that failure. For 5 yeas I worked a full time job and then bounced Wed - Sat full time. Full time meant 8:30 pm to 3:30 am. I did this to make a few bucks and enjoy the nightlife at the same time. I was able to still have fun at the same time. Our crews were mostly off duty officers or military. We had a few others that worked other jobs and just ltiked the easy access to the party. For a single man 20 -30, bouncing can be a great part time job!!
as I stated before he is a foot ball player and will probably get off well it came out the prosecutor dropped the charges and he is off Scot free no fine no suspension or anything , can we say privilege class. lets see you or me hit someone and what happens to us?????? jail fine and worse maybe prison.

Let me clarify a little. There is a huge distinction between a bouncer, and some one working security professionally. The whole way one would act, dress, and conduct themselve would be different. Bouncers as I define them is they guy sitting on a stool with his sleeves rolled up to his arm pits.IMHO If your 30, or near it bouncing in a college town and still acting this manner you need to grow up.
Steve your wrong , on this one. If this guy would have not been a athlete there would have never been charges filed. Having worked security , and as a bouncer in a college town the manner described above, I can tell you it would have never been charges filed. This is just a hazard of the job. The last thing these club owners want is to show up in court , or bring any heat their way. For the record the accuser withdrew his charge in municipal court.

Well I am 33 years old and having been a bouncer for a long time. At 6'4 and 265 I have plenty of friends that know I can handle there needs. I am a regional sales market manager for a large company and everyone that knows me knows I can talk my way into or out of most situations. I am called to help do security at concerts and have provided security for large parties because people know I can not only physically handle situations if needed I can talk and diffuse situations as necessary. I am married with 2 kids and am long past the partying stages in my life. These side jobs pay very well. I am not or have never been in law enforcement or worked for a security agency. I could probably do so very easily.
Not everyone over 30 that does this needs to grow up.

Neither has Tennessee, Kentucky, Michigan, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Wake Forest, Duke, Florida State, Florida, Miami, Texas, Southern Cal, Oklahoma, or Nebraska.
