1995 Evinrude Intruder, Not starting, No spark...please, I have mod/ser #

I have a 1995 evinrude 115 intruder not starting originally thought it was old fuel in the carbs but upon inspection now not getting spark. How does someone do a coil check on this motor? or is there something else I should be looking at. It ran fine before storing for the winter. I didnt use fuel stabilizer this time and I thought that was the original problem but looking deeper no spark when grounded to the motor. is the trigger not operating ? please any experienced help would be greatly appreciated. I want to get on the water ASAP!! thx, guys.

Yes its on but I will wiggle it/ look at the connections. Any other concerns to look for? or things I could test??

Not normal for a PP to go bad over the winter or a stator for that matter. I would suspect a bad ignition switch or a broken wire. But you will need a manual to follow the schematics and the process.

not to sound stupid but the ignition switch at the key?? or another type of thing on the motor? anything would help due to it would take a while to get an service manual from a place or the factory. what website has official shop manuals. I can get a seloc off the web but it would take some time. again ANY advice would be appreciated.

Yep at the ignition switch. look for a bad or broken wire. You could bypass the harness with a remote start switch to the solenoid and see if it fires. Just make sure you have the water running.

thx, Pulled the switch out of the console and it looked fine. I'd have to know where exactly the ignition wires enter into the motor and stuff to bypass and try that out. Could you tell me where exactly?, Where to wire the switch etc?? Sorry to rack your brain on a problem your not standing in front of but you guys are all I got. No $$$ for a boat shop to diagnose. thanks again.
