vj200slens making a small noise 1992 200gt any ideas?

anyone got any ideas? this happened at 5000 rpm fresh 93 xd100 oil all the other cyl looked good actually looked real rich its been hard to start but put 10 hours on it last weekend and the plugs looked great until i heard it start clanking around oh well back to the drawing board

Looks like the wrist pin decided it didn't want to be connect to the connecting rod or the piston any more. Does look like you may have leaned out from the wash on the piston top.

CHECK THE HIGH SPEED JETS, looks like the carbs need to be looked at.

I agree, check those high speed jets. Got my 1987 xp200 rebuilt this winter and after the 10 hour break in I broke I ring in the same cylinder as your problem. Got it redone and found out that the high speed jet updates from the manufacturer were never done and the lower 2 cylinders would tend to lean out. I got the updated jets which were made to be richer, and also got all new recirculation valves with the updates for those too. DEFINITELY check into this.....jmo
