How many people drop shot in South Florida? I've been using it lately when the fishing got slow and it seems to work pretty well. I always thought it wouldn't be a good technique down here because we fish shallow so much but it seems to work in the canals.
Anybody else use this and if so any special tips or tricks you use specific to fishing it down here?
Eric, ask Dell if he ever drop shots................I always use it.
Do you guys fish it vertically right next to the boat or just drag it off the ledges? I haven't use it to fish beds yet but have just been using it to fish ledges in the canals.
I will usually drag it..............but I have caught fish rite off the side of the boat. I've seen some guys throw it into some nasty looking piles and come out with a fish.
You go the traditional light line route, here in FL., or some sort of magnum heavy braid/flippin stick drop bomb combo?
