bobby ditto passed yesterday

bobby was from the palatka area, and was the guy that put the gatortail worm on the map...ditto was a big time bait company, and i sure wish they still made the old original gator tail...the company later was known as allen lures....bobby was a great angler on the st. johns, and was one of my very first sponsors..i also bought my first real bassboat...a skeeter wrangler from him, as he also had a boat dealership..
at least to me, that guy was always in a great mood...didnt matter what day it was..

Bobby was a great guy! I knew him back in the 70's and 80's and worked some fishing shows (mfg. rep.) with him and other manufactures. He did some specific worm (gatortail) colors for me and would bring them down and just give them to me. Still have some of his worms in the work shop, particuliar a specific color (purple/brown/yellow) he called "Babysh**. He use to tell me I would never catch a bass on that dirty looking worm and then I took him to Lake Cypress and he changed his mind about them. But he never mass produced that color as he said he would be laughed out of the business. Still have a couple of his old hats he gave me in the shop. Sorry to hear he has passed away.

i just found out thursday...im gonna miss him..he was one of the good guys for sure.....

it was a blessing , from what ive been told, he was in a lot of pain recently
