Heading to Winter Haven Chain next month

Just checking on water levels and hotels mainly. We used to stay at Ranch House over by Lake Roy but I think we will find something closer to the ramp. Has anyone been out of the New ramp on Shipp lately? If so how bad is the ranp and canals?

Water is getting lower by the day, as for the Ramp be careful the ends of the ramps my have a little drop off from people power loading. The chain has not been real productive the last few Months.
Canals are real low you will bump in a few of them.

I would use the ramp on Summit, here is a few pics from 3 weeks ago, and we haven't got much rain since.
This pics is the canal from Cannon to mirror, can not get thru this 1

This pic is coming from Howard to Cannon and you can see it is real low.

Yeah if we don't get any rain here in the next couple of weeks you'll be using rour trolling motor thru the canals.... and watch out for the sand bar out from the ramp from everyone powerloading at lake shipp ,,, keep your motor trimmed up

Launched out of the Big Shipp Ramp today, sorry to see the resturaunt is closed. Went North made it to canal going to Jessie couldn't go thru that one. Caught one fish out of May. I think our club is going to use Lake Cannon Park instead of Shipp. Man we need rain BAD,

when you fish your tournament, be sure to fish Lake winter set, you should do very well in that lake! When you come thru the canal fish the shore line to your right all the way down to other canal.

Neal which restaurant is closed Gary's Harborside? If so that sucks they have been open forever, and great food. I am about to start pre-fishing the south chain I will keep you updated. Usually the old ramp on Shipp is better, but Summitt is the best. I will call after I get up that way.
