    Gene,
It is pretty easy to install a Hot foot on your hull the choices are many TH marine makes one it is a bottom loader. Hydro-Dynamics (Rapid Jack) makes one also and it is a top loader. They are in your neck of the woods and Miss Debby is a pleasure to work with. If any of my customers want a quality manual JP that is what I get them, their stuff is just that good period!! IMHO the best thing to do is to is buy another throttle cable and fish it through and use it. Disconnect the existing cable at the motor and coil it back into the battery compartment. This way if your HF cable was to ever have an issue you have a cable that you can quickly connect and get back home. As far as installation mark the spot on your floor where you want to put it and take a piece of masking tape and mark the bit on the drill about 1/2" from the tip of the bit. Drill through the floor using the foot as a template and use #14 beveled phillips head SS screws to secure the HF. Just give adequate distance from the side of the hull for the install. We don't want any through the hull installs here.

Hook to the foot and then to the motor and adjust accordingly. Pull off the airbox and make sure the plates are opening fully at WOT. you are done.

I installed my first one a few months ago. Frst cable that I ordered wasn't long enough but C and O took it back and got me a longer one. One thing I had a problem with is that the hot foot pedal would not come back to idle with the little clamp that keeps the throttle cable close to the foot. I had read several post about the same problem and left it off and had no problems. It is a little U shaped bracket, don't know if has any real purpose but it wouldn't work with it one...weird. But overall it was fairly easy, I am mechanical to an extent but it was a 4-5 out of 10

just got done hooking one up first time, took about 2 hours, get the cable about 2 ft longer than the one you got,and its much easer to leave your old one hooked up on the old shifter and roll up the back end in the rear.I meAN I JUST COME IN from doing it I wish I would of known to leave the old one in ,i got tired of trying to unhook it from the shifter !

Just got back from testing [fishing] but the hot foot is one of the best items that can be installed on a bssa boat, you have so much more controll, if your on the fence of getting one ,go for it!
