    According to my 03 manual,
    22 Water temp HOT
    28 Shift assist circuit
    47 Air Temp circuit
    49 Air temp above range.

Sorry for the late response but it looked like you got it. Its a 98 Fitch. I took care of the shift assist by disconnecting it and the water temp is if I am running at a good rate of speed with it trimmed up it will over temp. Do you have any ideals on these two air temp codes.

How high is the engine? If running hot with full trim the engine may be too high. I'll defer to tha gurus on the air temp, unless it's un plugged from the airbox?

Re: Codes on 175 Johnson (Bassmeister)

One more question I am reading 22,28 and 37 now. I believe you emailed me anther web site to check out but I lost the computer the email was on. could you possibly give me the web site again and tell me what code 37 refers too? Also the last time I went fishing the check engine light come on till I went to the boat ramp and when I trailered it, tit went off. I checked the codes before running it and got the new 37 code but after running it for a few minutes the light came back on and couldn't get anymore codes because the light stayed on while trying to check it again. Sorry to bother but my book doesn't have codes and you were a great help last time.

37 is water in fuel sensor circuit activation.

I drained the water separator into a jar and didn't see any water. Does anyone have any ideals on the next step? I am going to recheck the codes to make sure it was 37. Also can any on tell me where the sensor is locate?

You will see two wires hanging down when you remove the fuel filter, they sense the water!

Re: Codes on 175 Johnson (Danrude)

    Onemore,

I have the same engine, model #J175FTLECS. a few years ago I had a false code 37 that would not go away so I had me EMM replaced with a reman from BRP.

Well after a year and a half I started getting the same code again,so I called Eric at DFI TECHNOLOGIES, and he said it was an inherent problem with the early EMM's.

So I sent the EMM to DFI to have it remapped for $645.00. Since I got it back two years ago I have had no other problems with false codes.

Do you know if there is anyway to just disable the sensor?
