    Where to take grandkids

Hi, I will be in Florida on Nov 21 thru Nov 27. I will be bringing my 19 footer down to fish . I would love to take the grand kids ages 10 & 8 out fishing. Any lakes and suggestion? I will slip away before they get up and do some bass fishing myself so I can spend my time on the water with attention to them. And tips would be helpfull. Thanks . Mark

Please post where in Fl you will be. That will help alot. (If you are going to be in Miami. Jacksonville locations not helpful )

Lake Tarpon in Tarpon Springs, off of US Hwy 19, is about five miles north of Clearwater. Great place to fish.

I don't know where you launched but can type you this: NorthEast corner of the lake there is a point with a fairly decent sized house. All along that far line and around the corner in the cove. If the water is up enough there is a dock on the east side of the aforementioned house, that dock leads out to about 12'. The baits I used were a wacky worm Senko H20Melon; Zoom MagnumTrick Worm green pumpkin. If you have a map it would provide the name """Something Landing or similar"" That water goes (or went depending on the water level) all the way around that bend.

    Tight Lines

Edit: I fished a Club Tx there and these are what I used but a co-competitor caught 2 using a Sexy Shad Big Red Eye in that same area

Thanks. i launched out of Anderson state park. i think that's the cove you are talking about or not? Everywhere looks great, but being from the northeast we don't have mass of grass beds. I did bring senkos . And watermelon is in the boat. Are you using 6 7 0r smaller senkos? thanks

Get you a couple dozen shiners, buy a pack of assorted ballons ( to use as a bobber ) 4/0 kahle hook ( weedless ) . drift your shiners around weed edges and your chance for putting them kids on a big ol bass is greater than you could imagine. make sure the ballons are blown up no bigger than a golf ball and tie on the line so depth can be adjusted and the shiner can swim around easily about (3-4'). the kids will love watching the ballons especialy when a hawg takes the bait. and don't forget the camera
