Still have issues with motor. I can only get 12-15lbs of fuel pressure at test port. Rebuilt lift pump today. I leaning towards high pressure pump. Can this also be a voltage problem?

sounds like it could be the eletirc pump, i have a service manual you're welcome to use.

I have one jeff. Just an expensive part to just change. The diag procedure i
have is pretty lame. I may have to just pull the trigger. I am in the process of checking all the electrical stuff now. Voltage is really important on these Ficht's
If you have the software....Run a fuel pump test and check the high pressure pump wires with a volt meter to confirm full voltage. of at least the fuel pump
Also if you pull it off and blast it with the air compressor that might help it to my was stuck and that worked on mine.
Pretty sure I got this figured out. In the housing assembly of the lift pump (#9)
there is a check valve, similar in function to the primer bulb. It must have been what failed. When I took it apart half of it was missing, I wish I knew that at the time, and a broken oring. The oring is not part of the rebuild kit and is not in the parts break down. So like any one else would do I replaced the oring and put it back together the way I found it. Filled the filter primed the bulb, cycled the switch a few times good to go. WRONG.
Engine would run but like crap and not for a long time, bulb hard as a rock and rightfuly so. That broken plunger one way valve actually would'nt let fuel into the filter. To prove my findings I remove that plunger and oring.
I can't start it up, getting kinda late here. I'm sure this is it. I can now pump the bulb to gain pressure and it feels different and the VST even sounds different.
I will order a new housing which I'm hoping comes with a new check valve. Seems kind of redundent but its there for a reason.
I also need to find this broken piece of plastic. I looked in the old filter but its not in there. Hopefully jammed up in the supply line.
I bet I have 8 hours into this thing. all along I knew it was something stupid.
I hope my findings help some one in the future.
