    Reel Repair Shops

OK Fella's, I need the name, of a GOOD and dependable reel repair shop. Hopefully in Fla.
I have picked up 3 older Shimano's, and want them gone through, and in tip top shape when returned.
The reels are, 250SG Bantam Mag Plus, 10SG Bantam Mag, and a 10Xsg Bantam.

For their age, they look great and appear to work well, but I want the "peace of mind" knowing a reputable shop has gone through them.

John try these folks, I have been having my Diawa TDX's fix by them for a few years and I have been very please with service and price.

I generally put the rel in a box with a note saying whats wrong and my credit card info. Send it off and in abouyt 2 weeks or less I get it back. I'd call them first to see if they do service Shimano. Let me know if they do because I have changed to all Shimano.
    Hope this helps.

I tried to call them several times (the Suncoast shop) to see about getting some guides replaced on a few rods and was never able to get anyone to answer the phone. If they are good, I will continue to try to get them. I had given up previously.

    Thanks.

    Re: Reel Repair Shops (FishnGI)

Interesting. I was up that way at Christmas and also got some stuff from them in November I think. I know the guy had some health issues. Hope all is well with him. He had a great business and did pretty good work.

To be honest, the Suncoast shop doesn't have a good name here locally.
I, too beleive it is more to do with the health issues of the shop owner than anything else.

If you don't mind sending them off, Southwest Parts & Service, in Dallas,Tx is the best! I've used them for over 20 years. 214-630-8161---
