Wheeler/Wilson info?

Hi neighbors...I'm going with a group of guys to fish Wheeler/Wilson lakes in two weeks, and only one of us has ever fished there, so we're looking for any help we can get. We're staying at Joe Wheeler state park, right at the dam between the lakes, so either lake is an option for us. I'm not looking for any secret spots, just some advice on what the fish are doing...water temps, post spawn or still spawning...any info is greatly appreciated.

I fished a college tourny on Wilson in April a couple years back. Best 3 days ever. Caught them around dock on spooks and shakey heads all day everyday. Lotta fish in that lake.

That's encouraging...thanks. Doesn't mean I'll be able to catch any, though. My buddies call me to ask how I'm fishing, then laugh, hang up, and do the opposite.
