LAKE MITCHELL IN ALABAMA?????

HOWS THE FISHING? IS IT WORTH THE GAS.ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED THANKS GUYS

I love Mitchell this time of year. Its probably my favorite lake on the Coosa chain along with Neely Henry. Its a little bit of a drive for me, so I don't fish there a great deal, but its always been good to me.

I've fished Mitchell twice....both times late spring....it's a pretty lake....I fished from dam to dam...

I launched out of Higgins ferry park....

I fished the coves...sloughs and pockets ...caught all fish on a black and blue jig..around the alligator weed.....I tried spinnerbaits and crankbaits a little bit no takers so I stuck with that jig...LM and spots were in the A-weed...

I spied a few fellers doing the off shore thing...word has it they were catching some of the really nice spots that swim in Mitchell...

Just up river you will see rock island...cool sight to see...
