I was looking for a few pointers on crappie in Guntersville.....................

I am heading down this weekend and wanted to try my hand at some crappie . I hear the lake is full of them if you know where to look. I appreciate any info you feel like sharing . If you dont want to post your info publicly feel free to IM. Thanks for your help. Jarrod

I haven't fished for crappie in a couple months but I know they were stacked up under the first causeway entering north sauty.. and the south sauty causeway is a good spot to check as well.

I have some buddies who just kill them at the G. They sling shot to the "Darkest" spots under boat houses first thing in the AM. ANd I mean these guys are slabaholics!!!! I will get with him in the AM and see if I can find out more. But I know, "the Darkest area? under the boathouse is key for them,

There are always a lot of crappie fisherman up behind goosepond next to the golf course and campground. The bridge at North Sauty was covered up today, so much so, that boats had to back out from under the bridge so that boats could pass through.

The bridge in Town Creek might be worth checking also. I've seen a lot of crappie come out from under that bridge.

town creek is a good place. the rock cliff is a 30 plus drop off. but i have always had my best luck at SOUTH SAUTY. from the launch area go to the right. DRIFT (ziz-zaging) across the main creek channel. never crappie fished on the north sauty. b.b.come bridge is always got a few under it too.
