Our club likes to use Lonnie Whites public launch no charge........ Just an idea

The name of the lake is actually Robert L.Harris,I got my lake map at Wally World,also Academy has them. I think the map actually says Wedowee though. I get there by taking hwy 431N from Opelika to Wedowee,then turn left on hwy 48 follow it to the 48 bridge,landing is on the right.

At one time the lake had a lot of standing timber. The timber was cut back some time ago although they cut beneath the surface during drawndown and during the drought. They left some standing timber in various places that you can see clearly. Rock it has rock there are rock bluffs and walls,and down river from 48 bridge are the remains of the old rock quarry they used to build the damn with. However that would be a good 10min run from 48 bridge to get to the old rock quarry,when you get a map look for fox creek and follow the creek out on the right side will be the rock quarry. From 48 bridge going back up river is what the locals call the big T, across the river from 48 bridge and just north a small distance is where the locals refer to as the little t river enters into the big t. Logan Martin i would say Lakeside if Wedowee you have 48 i like Lonnie Whites 48 to me is alaways full it does not matter.
