Results of July NoAl "Trailer Tournament"

We had a decent eight boat turn out for our July Trailer Tournament. Most of us decided to stick around and fish Pickwick but at least one trailered to Wilson and one other went all the way to Spring Creek on Wheeler. The fishing on Wilson and Pickwick has been tough for the past couple of weeks so I was very pleasantly surprised that six of the eight teams brought decent limits to the scales.

First place went to Terry Burleson and Tommy Baker with a real nice five-fish limit weighing 13 pounds, eight ounces anchored by a four pound, eight ounce largemouth which was good enough for big fish honors as well.

Hudean Wilson and James Sockwell eked out a second place finish by a mere two ounces over the third place team with a five-fish limit weighing 11 pounds, 12 ounces.

We concluded our tournament day at 1:00 pm with a good ol' fashioned cookout with 'burgers, bratwurst and hot dogs. I hope everyone had a good time and got plenty to eat. At least we didn't have to wait on the 'burgers to come off the grill this year!

And a special thanks to Hudean and his wife for bringing some home-grown tomatoes and cantaloupe!

Thanks again and I look forward to seeing everyone at Cedar Creek in August!

Thanks for the cookout Avery. You had more food there than Buzzn could have eaten and it was all great. And you did a great job with the weather also. Cloudy most of the day with a light breeze.
    Thanks!

Avery, hope you got the voicemail I left you. Sorry I didn't make it back for the festivities. Looks like I should have stayed on Pickwick. Wilson was not very cooperative. Congrats to Terry and Tommy!
