    Break in oiling period

When I replaced my powerhead I put the motor in "break in" by using the shifter. I have run it well over 2 hours but yet I'm still getting a fault code on my vessel view mobile saying "break in remaining". Anyone know what's up? Thanks.

IIRC, you have to run 120 minutes over a certain RPM. Idle time does not count. The manual on my motor says it has to be run over 2,500 rpm's to count for 120 minutes. Not positive same for your motor. Could be??

Ok, I'm fairly certain I've done that but I guess I'll keep running her. Headed to Champlain tomorrow afternoon so I would hope I'll be good after Saturday. Not too many lakes to make long runs around here.

I am not familiar with vessel view, but my smartcraft gauges tell me how many minutes are left for the "break in". I spent most of the day in the Gulf last weekend snorkeling some reefs and wrecks. Ran out offshore about ten miles or so. Still shows I have 40 minutes left to complete the break in. 2 hours cruising over 2,500 rpms can be deceivingly long. LOL. Especially as fast as most folks on here run.

Ya the computer needs to see certain criteria for the counter to count down.
