I have been having an issue scene day one with what looks like to be oil/gas mix running down the leg of my 2004 225hp di. Mechanic said that they all do it. Is there away to stop it . Its not hurting anything just looks nasty after a few days of hard fishing. After you wash everything off after fishing its still running down the let.
It's normal, some have been known to put a diaper or something of that sort under the throttle bodies to catch it.
wouldn't this cause a fire hazard.....
only if you smoke in theredid this with my 1997 johnson it works,,no fire to date,,, !!!!
Have you thought about installing a small fuel resistant hose to the bottom of the air box that surrounds the intakes and exit it out the lower cowling?If it's going to leak then try to collect it and redirect it.
