    NoAl Chapter Meeting, part two!!

We had a very good turnout for our NoAl Chapter meeting this past Saturday and I think we made some changes that will positively influence our chapter.

Most of us would agree that the major topic of debate during the past several months has been the selection process of our monthly tournament site. The consensus of opinion was that we could alleviate much of this by scheduling our tournaments in advance. We also decided to fish our regular tournaments on a lake only once per calender year, included some lakes that we haven't fished lately, and moved some of our dates to reduce potential conflicts with FOM, FLW, BASS Elite Series, and other tournament trails. I'll post a list of our tournament locations, dates and launch sites in a different thread.

Another motion was made to change the format of some of our tournaments. Our June tournament, for example, will be a membership drive tournament, we'll have a "trailer tournament" in July, and we'll join forces with the SoAl Chapter for their annual "Meet & Greet" in October. Look for more information on these events as we get closer!

Finally, I'd like to thanks Robert (teamsos) of Shoals Outdoor Sports for providing us a place to meet and for providing lunch. It was greatly appreciated!!

I don't have any official numbers but the top two boats had almost 15 pounds each. Big fish was 5.75 # with runner up at 5.50 #. The fish were definately biting as most caught fish. I know Harry and I had at least three limits of keepers and a lot of smaller fish. You missed a great day of fishing. Even with the cold and wind, the fishing was hot enough to keep me from feeling it! It was about time we caught a lake when they were biting

Also a big thanks to Robert for providing the meeting room and the food, although I don't need to get that close to so many new boats. It can really give you the fever fast. Harry almost bought a 4-wheeler while we were there.

See you at the next one.
