"The Grand Opening Celebration begins Thursday, November 20th and will continue through Sunday, November 23rd. The store will open at 8 AM Thursday and at 9 AM (normal opening hours) Friday and Saturday and 10 AM Sunday. "

Just got a email from them.Grand opening nov 19 at 6pm, sale goes from nov 19-26th, with fund raiser the night of opening.

Went to the BPS in Memphis yesterday to buy a Hummingbird 787ci and was not impressed with the store at all. I really hope that the Leeds store is better.

I hear they are supposed to have some celeb. singers their. Live music and some Nascar drivers. They say it is supposed to be a BIG grand opening......

It was open tonight. I noticed the cars and lights when I was coming back from Logan Martin. I went home dropped the boat and rode over there. It was packed, and seemed to still have some stockng and cleaning to do. But it was cool to atleast walk around and look.

Jimmy, Did you see any good speacials? I was thinking about riding down Wed night. LOL need to be Xmas shopping for kids instead of myself though! I saw BPS had the St Croix Premiers on sale on line. Was wondering if they were marked down at new store as well.

I didn't see any real good specials that just jumped out at me. I got there at 7:00 and they closed at 7:30. I didnt get to spent a lot of time looking around.

I plan on going over there wednesday for the grand opening myself and see if there any good deals.

I will say this store seems to have a lot more fishing stuff than anyother basspro i have been, and laid out a lot better than others.

Hey Jimmy I noticed that you mentioned that you were coming from Logan Martin. Do you have any suggestions for us on what type of places to fish? We are coming down tomorrow and fishing until Saturday. I think we are going to check out the BPS while we are there since we are so close and all.

I can maybe help you a little bit, but my last few trips to Logan Matin have been not that great. Sunday, I fished down on the lower in around Pell City Park, and up to the Stemley Bridge Area. Mainly caught then on a rattle trap and a clackin rap. had a few small ones on a shakeyhead.

We will be staying at a motel as you exit from I-20 and will be fishing from there south. We are going to do some crappie fishing as well as bass fishing. How is the water level?

I don't know the exit number but I think it is where Rt 4 crosses I 20
