a 130hp or 115hp Etec ??

Looking for some advice.

I blew my old ficht and I’m not fixing it (nor will the mechanic) so I’d like to go with the max hp for my Sylvan and that’s 135hp.

There was a 115 on it (1998) and it just lumbered to get on plane . I figure the less the motor works the longer it MIGHT last!
So Etec is coming with a 130hp and I’d like to buy that next year.. But looking at the specs it’s just the 115 with better air intake etc etc. So would you think 130 hp would be better or stick with the 115HO or 115 for reliability? Is that 130hp Etec motor just going to be working its hardest to produce that hp?
A blown engine is not a option here and even the 115HO has me concerned. I have a new 06 hull so weight is not a problem. What motor would you pick??

IF your boat has a 25" shaft, get the 130 as that model has the V-6 sized gearcase and can swing a larger prop for more thrust. Both motors are almost identical internally, other than the 25" gearcase. The 20" shafts use the same V4 sized gearcase.
